end of D1

An interesting end to the day but more of that later.
After an easy ride out as far as indian queens. It started to climb a little but a healthy tail wind assisted . A30 was abit monotonous and the road noise was horrendous. We made good time.It was a good feelig seeing the sign welcoming us to Devon ( slight accent change)it was great that we didn't need to stop for s cornish pasty or a cream tea. Finally we left the A 30 peace at last! It was strange not having traffic passing continuously @ 70mph+
However a far more hilly if picturesque series of roads. Quaint villages and thatched cottages
finished about 4pm - council hours! 6h50 on the road approx 17mph average.2200m of ascent
- that's the nerdy bit done. Travelled from finish in Crediton to Exeter.
Luckily the accommodation is directly opposite a major road so there'l be plenty of road
noise just like the A30! Day finished on a disharmo
Nius note as my carrier bag easy accessible method was not appreciated by our OCD bretheren.
Not sure Im cut out to be a cyclist too many techy things and having to count past 2.
on a positive the weather has improved no. end and to quote ELO
Sun is shining in the sky there's not a cloud in sight its stopped raining .....
Hot shower cold bath for recovery nice!
Trying complan as recovery drink hopefully I may lose some weight!
